No. 2 of Volume I of the zoology report produced following the 1910 'Terra Nova' Antarctic expedition led by Sir Robert Falcon Scott. A natural history report published over many decades following the expedition, at the behest of the British Museum.

The first work present here is member of the expedition G. Murray Levick's study of the Adelie penguin, a species found only along the coast of the Antarctic continent. 

Illustrated with twenty one plates of photographs taken by the author. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper wraps. Wraps lightly age toned to back strips and perimeters, otherwise excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
