Their home was Marble Hill House in Donegal, where they played hosts to George William Russell on a number of occasions; when he stayed at Marble Hill House he stayed in the children's house in the grounds, which was known as the 'Fairy House', apparently where he found his strongest psychic insights, spending his time there hunting for fairies in their woods. They also hosted W. B. Yeats, Jack Yeats, P.H. Pearse, William Orpen, G.K. Chesterton and Hilaire Belloc.

A collection of essays and articles by George William Russell, written under his pseudonym,  Æ, or A.E.
