A selection of song for colleges and schools, edited by John Farmer. Originally published in 1890, this popular collection has had numerous printings.
The title refers to popular academic commercium song that is mainly sung or performed at University graduation ceremonies.
This copy is in full red calf binding and was gifted to a teacher by her students. With a contemporary ink inscription "Miss Fowler with love from the VI" followed by signatures to the front endpaper. Dated October 13th 1916.
With the initials R. F. stamped in gilt to the front board.
Condition
In full calf binding with gilt detailing and marbled endpapers. Externally, generally smart with rubbing to the extremities, heaviest to the spine. Marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Contemporary ink inscriptions to the front endpaper.
