Ink inscription to recto of front endpaper in volume I. Pencil markings to rear pastedown in volume I. Letter attached to recto of front endpaper in volume II reads 'With much love and all good wishes, and some hope that this one will not be too flamboyant and the stem too stodgy. Kingsley'. Condition

In the original green cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Volume I a little rubbed to the boards and the spine, with a long slit at the rear joint. Volume II is more rubbed than I, rubbing to the boards of volume I, with a similar slit at the rear joint causing the cloth to flap at the spine. Both volumes are bumped to the head and the tail of the spine, and a little worn at the extremities. Internally, firmly bound.
