The New Army in Training is a first edition. The Fringes of The Fleet is a reprint. Originally published in 1915. Kipling write 6 articles about the training of the new British troops who had volunteered to fight in the First World War which were published in the Daily Telegraph in 1914. These later because the booklet The New Army in Training. The Fringes of The Fleet contains later essays and poems with nautical themes surrounding the subject of war. Written by Rudyard Kipling, an English novelist, poet and journalist, most well-known for his work 'The Jungle Book'.

Condition

In the original yellow paper binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and some chipping to the spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with light age toning to the extremities.
