Written by Arnold W. Hodson, a colonial administrator who served as Governor of Sierra Leone and the Gold Coast.
Illustrated with five maps, four of which are folding, and eighty-five reproductions of photographs throughout. Collated, complete.
Condition
In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; a little bumped to the extremities and to the head and tail of the spine. Gilt has faded a little. Internally, binding is tender; frontispiece is loose but present. Pages are occasionally slightly spotted.
