First edition. Dated from the preface and British Library. Illustrated with frontispiece and one hundred and twenty-five images. A collection of writings on the English countryside, with reference to its creeks, running waters, ancient bridges, footpaths, fields, mills, inns, and seasonal changes. Written by Ernest C. Pulbrook, an English author. Illustrated by Albert E. Newcombe, a British artist and illustrator.

Condition

In the original green cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and boards. Joints starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting. Library bookplate to the rear pastedown.
