A beautiful edition of Shakespeare's comical play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

'A Midsummer Night's Dream' is set in Athens, revolving around the marriage of Theseus and Hippolyta.

Since being written in 1595 or 1596, 'Midsummer' has become one of Shakespeare's most popular and widely performed plays. 

Shakespeare is the world's most famous playwright, his plays still being performed in theatres and studied in schools five-hundred years after they were written. He is known for his three genres of plays, tragedies, histories, and comedies. 

Illustrated by W. Heath Robinson, a noted whimsical cartoonist.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. A few minor marks to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the extremities and spine. Boards are a little cockled. Dustwrapper is lightly edge worn with some small closed tears. A few light marks to the wraps. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright with some spots.
