A very scarce volume of three reports on the Phillips River, an ephemeral river in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia.

These reports offer a valuable insight into the mining in Australia at the beginning of the twentieth century, in particular of the Phillips River.

Including;

'Report on the Development of the Phillips River Auriferous Copper Mines', by A. Montgomery.

'Geological Report on Mines of the Phillips River Gold and Copper Company Limited', by Malcolm Maclaren.

'Petrological Notes', by R. A. Farquharson.

Illustrated with five colour folding maps, two folding tables, and one colour map.

Collated, complete.

Issued by the Western Australia's Department of Mines.

Condition

In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, lacking the rear wrap. Light edge wear to the front wrap with a couple of chips, and some wear to the backstrip. Light tide marks and spots to the front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some spotting, including to the folding maps. Contents leaf is working loose.
