Limited Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

A limited edition. This is paper copy number 932 of 1000. In a smart, quarter cloth binding with the very rare original dust wrapper. Printed on handmade Riccardi Paper by the Riccardi Press. "Rip Van Winkle" and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" are short stories by the American author Washington Irving published in 1819 and 1820 respectively. Written while Irving was living in Birmingham, England, they were part of a collection entitled "The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon" and are among the earliest examples of American fiction still read today.

Condition

In quarter cloth binding. Externally, excellent with little shelf wear. The original dust wrapper is in smart condition. Fading to the spine and some shelf wear to the extremities. Chipping to the spine and light age-toning to the edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. Some fading and creasing to the bottom of the ribbon marker.
