A first edition of this scarce travelogue in which Ernest Young recounts his experiences in Russia, Holland, Siam (Thailand), Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Egypt, and Finland. With thirty one photographic plates, collated but lacks plate called for at page 124. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper, 'K. Loader. 1915'
Condition
In the publisher's original maroon cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Very lightly rubbed to the front board, a little more to the rear. Lightly bumped to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with light scattered foxing throughout.
