This informative work contains ecclesiastical records of the diocese of Bath and Wells, along with a catalogue of church plate held by the Dean and Chapter of Wells, and the parochial clergy of Somerset.
Holmes explains this undertaking was prompted by a 1905 message from the Convocation of Canterbury that each diocese should ascertain 'what records the several officers of the Church in the Diocese are at present custodians'.
Condition
In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding, with paper covered boards. Light shelf wear to spine head. Internally, firmly bound. Some light foxing throughout.
