A charmingly illustrated, very scarce first edition of John Trevena’s account of his travels and encounters among the mountains of Switzerland and Northern Italy.

Published in 1914, Trevena describes his journeys to observe plants and soak up the local atmosphere.

Containing sixteen full plates, including a frontispiece.

Condition

In original publisher’s full cloth binding, with gilt title to front board and spine. Externally, very smart. Some light bumping to extremities and very light marking to the boards. Internally, generally firmly bound. Some light markings to pastedowns and endpapers. Otherwise pages are bright and clean. Some pages are unopened.
