The second volume begins with the general progress of the war to the eve of the Mons and writing bout The Naval War in the Atlantic and Pacific. This volume was first published in 1915 and has three photogravure plates. Collated, complete.
The third volume, first published in 1915, details Japan's intervention in the Great War, the fight for Dardanelles and the development of submarine warfare. With four photogravure plates. Collated, complete.
The fourth volume outlines The British Offensive and the Second Battle of Ypres, Italy's Entry into the war and The Gallipoli campaign. This volume was first published in 1915 and has four photogravure plates. Collated, complete.
The fifth volume, first published in 1916, details The Battle of Loos, Women's Supreme Work in the War and The Aerial Wat along the Western Front. With three photogravure plates. Collated, complete.
All volumes are profusely illustrated throughout the text as well as with the photogravure plates.
Condition
Uniformly bound in the publisher's original burgundy cloth binding. Externally, the volumes are generally smart. There is some light bumping to the head and tails of the spines with some marks to the boards and spines, mostly to the front board of volume one. Internally, volumes are firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
