Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, seven colour plates, and forty-seven monochrome plates.

Collated, lacking the colour plates facing page 34, 126, 166, and 194. All monochrome plates are present.

'Winter Sports in Switzerland' explores the popular sports played by natives and visitors to Switzerland during the country's popular winter months, such as ice-skating, tobogganing, ice-hockey, and skiing.

With photographic reproductions by Mrs. Aubrey le Blond, Elizabeth Hawkins-Whitshed. 

Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper, 'Kenneth from his head Oct. 7. 1924'.

Two pages of adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Small crack to the tail of the front joint. Some minor rubbing to the boards and spine, and a few light marks. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spots to the fore edge. Rear hinge is starting. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Frontispiece and its tissue guard are detached but present. Colour plates are detached.
