A first edition of Charles Cotterill Lynam's account of his voyage to Norway in 1911 and 1912. With sixteen colour plates, collated and complete. The author describes cruising in Norwegian waters on his voyage to the Artic Circle in this entertaining volume. A sailing and cruising enthusiast, the yachtsman was was appointed headmaster of Oxford Preparatory School in 1886, and often invited friends and the 'Dragon' School's staff members to accompany him in yachting. With a prize bookplate from the aforementioned Oxford Preparatory School to the front pastedown. The book was awarded to Cecil Pouncey in 1914 for her Holiday Work on Dickens. Several pages near the front of the volume are untrimmed.

Condition

In the publisher's original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with just some light bumping and rubbing to the head and tail of the spine. Internally firmly bound. Aside from some light foxing to the front and rear of the volume, pages are bright and clean.
