Description
Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
A booklet containing notes read to the London and Middlesex Archaeological Society by Ambrose Heal, English furniture designed and businessman, at the time chairman of Heal's (Heal and Son).
Concerning the famous Georgian Capper's Farmhouse found behind Heal's, inhabited by some of Heal's employees, which was pulled down in 1913 to make space for Heal's bedding factory and other buildings.
A very scarce work.
Containing three original black and white photographs and a map from the London Magazine tipped in, as well as other illustrations in plans in text.
Condition
In the original publisher's wraps. Externally sound with shelf wear, chipped to extremities, a touch of sunning and age toning, damp marks to rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Faint staining mark affecting last few leaves particularly, cockling leaves through slightly, otherwise pages generally bright and clean. Featuring three black and white original photographs and a map tipped in, as well as other illustrations and plans in text.
