Folding Maps, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

A fascinating work of naval history exploring the naval mutinies of 1797. Written by Conrad Gill. In the publisher's original blue cloth binding, with the crest of Manchester University Press to the spine. With the previous owners ink inscription to the front pastedown 'David Spinney. July 1950'. With a newspaper clipping to the rear endpaper being the obituary of Professor of Conrad Gill, the author of this work. Alongside this, to the rear endpaper there are series of notes, iin reference to numerous passages in the text. These correlate with several underlined passages throughout the volume.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lightly bumped to the head and of the spine and also to the extremities. Spotting to the top edge and to the fore edge. Ink inscription to the front pastedown, with light spots to the front and rear endpapers. Newspapers clipping tipped-in to the rear endpaper.
