'The Earthly Paradise' is a wonderful epic poem by William Morris, a retelling of various myths and legends from Greek and Scandinavia. This volume includes twelve tales from the poem.
This was an incredibly popular poem that cemented Morris' reputation as one of the most important poets of his day. It was immensely influential, even providing inspiration for J. R. R. Tolkien.
Morris wrote the epic poem in different forms across the different stories, writing in rhyme royal, heroic couplet, and iambic tetrameter.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A little light rubbing to the spine and boards. Light marks to the boards and spine, a little heavier to the tail of the spine. Rear hinge is starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with scattered spots.
