Most renowned for 'The Jungle Book', 'Kim' and 'Just so Stories', Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) is seen as a pioneer for the short story form and a classic author of children's fiction. He was born in India, the inspiration behind a vast amount of his writings, which include 'The Jungle Book', 'Just So Stories' and 'Kim' (as can all be found in this collection). He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1907, becoming the youngest ever recipient and first English language writer to do so.

Signed by the author to the half title page of Volume I.

This is a sixteen book collection from the thirty-one volume Bombay Edition of Kipling's works, published between 1913 and 1938

Volume XVI contains a number of illustrations by the author.

Condition

In a quarter cloth binding. Externally generally smart, occasional wear to the boards and extremities bumped, with water staining to Volume XXIV. Inscription by the author to the half title page of Volume I. Internally firmly bound, pages bright and clean bar the odd spot more noticeable to the endpapers.
