A first limited edition copy of this work. Only five hundred copies of this book have been printed and has been signed by the compiler. 

Signed by the author and dedicated to Private Clifford Parker, dated Xmas 1918. 

this volume is a series of articles, complied from letters and diaris written by officers of the 21st and 22nd Cheshire Companies of Imperial Yeomanry, relating to their experiences during the South African War in the years 1900-1901, complied by John H. Cooke. 

Illustrated by one hundred and sixty plates, photographs and portraits.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with some fading to the spine. Bumping to the head and tail of the spine, marks to the boards. Signed by author to the front free endpaper. Front hinge starting but remains firm. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
