Written by Frederick A. Talbot, a British transport historian who specialised in railways.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Front hinge of volume one just starting but very firm. Internally, generally firmly bound with the odd page detached but present to volume two. Pages are very bright with the odd handling mark. Light spotting to the endpapers and rear of the plates.
