What Our Customers Say...
Description
Original Binding
'Heraldry for Craftsmen and Designers' was published in 1913 and written by British antiquary W. H. St John Hope.
'Wood-block Printing' was published in 1916 and written by Frank Morley Fletcher (1866-1949), a British printmaker known for his introduction of Japanese coloured woodcuts into Western art.
'Wood-block Printing' is from the library of Helena Hall, containing her bookplate. 'Heraldry for Craftsmen and Designers' is from the library of Ivan Gill, and contains his bookplate.
Each volume is illustrated throughout and includes colour plates.
A smart, two volume set of work regarding art from the early twentieth century.
Condition
In a quarter cloth binding. Externally generally smart; 'Woodblock Printing' is a little more faded and discoloured than the other volume, and each volume has the odd mark to the spine and some bumping to the extremities.
