The author reflects back on his time hunting and exploring in New Brunswick as well as Northern British Columbia.
Contents include 'Off for the Woods', 'Tracks of Big Game', 'Fierce and Extensive Forest Fires', 'Spearing Salmon in the Northwest', and 'British Columbia Birds'.
Thomas Martindale (1845-1916) was an American merchant, author, and big game hunter. He founded the first health food store in the United States, named 'Martindales', which is still in business today.

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Minimal bumping to head and tail of spine with light wear to the extremities and bands of joints. A few marks to boards. Offsetting to endpapers. Prior owner's ink inscription to front free endpaper.Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean, with light age-toning to margins of text.
