First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon
A first edition of this uncommon volume containing records of the christenings, marriages, and burials of Hove and Preston villages in East Sussex. Having been absorbed into the city of Brighton in 1928, this volume provides records of those who lived in Preston and the neighbouring village of Hove between 1538 and 1812. Aside from the first thirty pages, the majority of the pages are untrimmed. With a sticker from 'Heraldry Today' in Wiltshire to the rear pastedown.
Condition
In the publisher's original brown cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Very lightly rubbed to the front joint, with a little bumping and rubbing to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Aside from some light spotting to the front of the volume, pages are bright and clean.
