An extensive and vivid hunting work on the sport in the Himalayas, recording the author's hunts of goral, bear, serow, and more.

Illustrated with a frontispiece, five plates, and in-text illustrations.

Collated, complete.

Written and illustrated by Edward Percy Stebbing, a pioneering forester and forest entomologist in India. He was one of the first to warn of desertification and desiccation.

Prior owner's stamp to the recto to the front endpaper, 'Brain Ashley'.

Eighteen pages of adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Some light marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the spine and extremities. Small puncture marks to the spine. Some indentations to the rear board. Stamp to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with some occasional light spots. A few pages unopened to the fore edge.
