What Our Customers Say...
Description
Colour Plates, Decorative Binding, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
First published in 1869, this novel follows Roland Yorke after his return from Port Natal, and functions as a sequel to Wood's most popular work, 'The Channings'.
Mrs. Henry Wood (1814-1887) was an English novelist as well as the editor of the Argosy, to which she contributed a great deal. Her books were widely read in both the United States and Australia, with her fame passing that of Charles Dickens in the latter.
With six illustrations by E. S. Skinner. Collated, complete.
Complete with the original dust wrapper.
A lovely example of this work.
Condition
In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. Dust wrapper is rather worn, with some loss to the head and tail of the spine, which is sunned, as well as wear to the fly leaves. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a touch age-toned, but otherwise clean.
