What Our Customers Say...

Description

A very charming topographical work on Scotland by A R Hope Moncrieff. With descriptions of the picturesque scenery both in rural areas and cities.

Illustrated with seventy five gorgeous coloured plates by Sutton Palmer that perfectly represent the beauty of the landscape. Collated, complete.

With the publisher's pamphlet on Black's Guide Books loosely inserted. Black's Guides are guide books published by Adam and Charles Black from 1839. This series wanted to include more colloquial content, with less cultural pretensions. The publications continued until the end of the 1910s.
