    Illustrated

    Two volumes but The Cruising Association, those being: The Cruising Association Year Book 1912 The Cruising Association Handbook 1920 Both volumes were issued to members of the Cruising Association, and not in public circulation. Founded in 1908,The Cruising Association is a British based organisation. To date it has more than 6000 members across the globe. Compiled by H J Hanson. Includes a newspaper cutting entitled, 'Marking in Christchurch Harbour', with a pencil inscription that reads '1923, June'. Collation unavailable, some plates appear to have been removed from 'The Cruising Association Handbook'.

    Condition

    In full cloth binding. Externally, smart. Slight rubbing to the head and tail of the spine, and also to the extremities. Minor rubbing to the joints and boards. Small crack to the rear joint of 'Handbook'. Tidemark to the front and rear endpapers and pastdowns of 'Handbook'. Previous owners inscription to the front endpaper of 'Year Book'. Internally, both volumes are generally firmly bound. 'Handbook' is strained in places, with tail of binding loosening slightly. Pages are generally clean, with the odd handling mark and spot throughout.
