First edition of The Mediterranean Seaports and Sea Routes Including Madeira, The Canary Islands, The Coast of Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia.
By Karl Baedeker in the original publisher's cloth binding.
A handbook for travellers.
Densely illustrated with thirty eight maps and forty nine plans, with many which are folding and in colour. Collated, complete.
Karl Baedeker was a German publisher whose company became the leading authority on tourist guidebooks in the nineteenth century.
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some wear to the cloth in these areas. The hinges are strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some light age toning.
