A large paper children's book descriptive of various animals including the polar bear, the donkey, the elephant, the tiger, the camel, the lamb, and more. Text by E. J. Detmold. Dated from Copac, first and only edition of this work.
Each animal features a lovely coloured plate by Florence E Dugdale. Collated, complete with nineteen full page plates tipped in.
Condition
In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding over pictorial paper covered boards. Externally a trifle worn with shelf wear, rubbing and chipping to extremities. Front paper cover only attached to front joint, revealing some illustrated boards with title 'Anticipating "A Wee Scot"'. Internally, binding tender, generally holding firm. Pages generally bright and clean. Chimpanzee illustration with minor loss to lower margin.
