What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

This work examines the political landscape of Turkey, the Sultan and rule, religion, the Revolution of 1908-09, the government, industry, commerce, army and press. It also looks to the country's future and what issues may arise politically and socially.

A first edition.

Written by F. G. Aflalo, a well-travelled author and editor.

Illustrated with twenty-four plates; bound without the map of the dominion opposing page 70, as is common with this work.

Complete with the original dust wrapper, which is in exceptional condition considering its age.

An excellent example of this scarce history of Turkey.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart, with just a little minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities. Dust wrapper has tape repairs along the joints and the head and tail internally, but is externally very good, with just the slightest wear to the head and tail of the spine, which is a little sunned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are just a touch age-toned at the edges.
