    Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

    The second edition of this work. Complete with half title, two leaves of publisher's advertisements to rear, frontispiece, and eight full page plates. 

    Enclosed in its very scarce dust wrapper, rarely seen in commerce, with pricing 10/6 net present to spine. 

    Detailed autobiographical account of the career and travels of Edward Seymour, Royal Navy officer who served in the Black Sea during the Crimean War and took part in the sinking of the war-junks during the Second Opium War among others. 


    Condition

    In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only, light bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities of boards. Dust wrapper unclipped and very smart with minor shelf wear, minor loss to head and tail of spine, staining mark to front wrap, spine darkened. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to fore edge affecting only odd light spotting to occasional leaf, pages otherwise generally bright and clean.
