What Our Customers Say...
First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
William Usborne Moore was a British naval commander as well as a psychical researcher and spiritualist. This work explores his early psychic experiences and journey with spiritism. A first edition, first impression, a very scarce work rarely found on the market. A volume followed titled The Voices.
Illustrated with black and white photographic plates.
In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally sound with minor shelf wear and a minor bumping and chipping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Light soiling to the boards and spine. Lacking the front free endpaper, evidence of the removal to the front pastedown, also removing the majority of a previous owner's inscription to the front pastedown. The half title is loose but present, with previous ownership signatures, undated. With an observation of God written to the last leaf of text by a previous owner. Internally, the hinges are only starting, holding firm. The volume generally firmly bound. Odd spotting scattered to the occasional leaf, otherwise the pages are generally very clean throughout. Illustrated with black and white photographic plates.
