What Our Customers Say...
Description
Illustrated, Original Binding, Scarce
A fascinating and comprehensive historical account of coiffures, including technical descriptions and biographical details.
Replete with numerous in-text illustrations of these hairstyles as they appeared through the ages and as they appeared in different venues (for example, one illustration and description shows the coiffure 'Rosalind', as it appeared in William Shakespeare's play, As You Like It).
These illustrations and descriptions originally appeared in 'The Hairdressers' Chronicle' series under the editorship of Alfred M. Sutton.
A scarce work.
