What Our Customers Say...

Description

Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

Second edition. Very scarce. Despite the rumors of the divorce, Tom Cottenham stoutly maintained that his relationship with the fair Violet Carteret, the soon-to-be ex-wife of Major Arthur Carteret, was perfectly innocent. Otherwise he could not have convinced his mother to sanction her presence at Little Sallowby Hall. Written by James Blyth, a prolific British author recognised for his contributions to science fiction in the future war genre. Publisher's catalogue to the rear.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and marks to the boards. Small splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Mudie's Select Library bookplate folds from the front pastedown onto the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting. Age toning to the endpapers. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.
