Robert Hichens was an English journalist, novelist, music critic and satirist. 

This travel book came as a result of Hichens' love for Egypt, where he frequently travelled to and originally visited for his health in the 1890s. It was originally published as Egypt and Its Monuments in 1908.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Marks to the boards and slight fading of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with offsetting and the odd spot to the endpapers. Contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper.
