This work features a collection of letters written by Lafcadio Hearn and was edited with an introduction and preface providing bibliographical information on Hearn written by Elizabeth Bisland. Lafcadio Hearn was best known for teaching the West about Japanese culture, having moved from America to Japan. Lafcadio wrote many works on Japanese culture, with a particular interest in their legends and ghost stories. This collection of letters provides insight into Lafcadio's life in Japan.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally excellent with slight rubbing to the extremities and very minimal closed tears to the cloth to the head of the spine. Internally firmly bound with clean and lightly age toned pages. A closed tear to pp. x.
