Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

First edition. Undated, dated using Copac. A novel by the former poet laureate of the U.k. John Edward Masefield. Alongside his incredibly successful career as a poet, Masefield was wrote a series of highly received children's works. Illustrated throughout by T. C. Dugdale. Dugdale was a renowned British artist, and member of the Royal Academy. With a total of 16 plates throughout. Collated, complete. Previous owners ink inscription to the front endpaper, that reads 'To Cuthbert G. Bull from his Father. Xmas 1921.'

Condition

In the publisher original cloth binding. Externally smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine, with rubbing to the extremities. Light fading to the spine. Ink inscription to the front endpaper. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
