What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, Folding Maps, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce sixty-second Bradshaw's guide, published in 1910.

Bradshaw's railway timetables and guides began production in the mid nineteenth century, running until the early 1960s. Initiated by George Bradshaw, who died in 1853, the commonplace guides continued to bear his name.

These guides were referenced in much literature at the time, appearing in 'Dracula', 'Around the World in 80 Days' and  'Rebecca', and referenced by authors including Charles Dickens, Arthur Conan Doyle and Philip Pullman.

Containing four folding colour maps.

With advertisements to the front and rear paste downs and endpapers of the works.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to spine head and tail. Front and rear hinges weak, and may detach from text block without careful handling. Significant marks to front and rear endpapers and pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Marks to fore edge of text block. Marks to first and last few pages, with pages otherwise generally clean.
