Illustrated with colour tipped in frontispiece, title page, and fifteen plates. Collated complete. Written by Washington Irving, an American essayist, biographer, historian, short-story writer, and diplomat. Illustrated by Henry Matthew Brock, a British illustrator and landscape painter.

Condition

In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Light age toning to the endpapers.
