An ex-institutional copy from the Trinity College Library Oxford, with labels to the front paste downs and ink inscription to the recto to the front endpapers, and the occasional stamp to the text.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, spines, joints, and extremities are faded. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards and spines. Front hinges are starting but firm. Institutional label to the front paste downs and stamps to the recto to the front endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with some odd spots. Closed tear to plate VIII of Volume I. Institutional stamp to a few pages of text and a couple of plates, including the title pages.
