Description

Illustrated with three colour plates, and full-paged and in-text monochrome illustrations, all depicting cats.
The title page and three colour plates by Cecil Aldin. Aldin is best known for his entertaining illustrations of animals, depicting pets in their day to day life in charming detail.
Undated, dated from the prize label to the front paste down.
Condition
In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with illustrated paper to the boards. Externally, smart, with some light marks and discolouration visible to the white paper. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A couple of very small chips to the backstrip. Small crack to the tail of the front joint. Prize label to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some light handling marks.
