The first edition of this work, very scarce copy, rarely seen on the market. Held by four institutional libraries only. 

Margaret Cooper was known as the first female musical hall performer to sing to her own piano accompaniment. Here is her autobiographical work, which explores her life and career development.

A truly charming work, which includes four musical sheets for piano.

A special copy, signed by Cooper to recto frontispiece dated 1909, and to each of the seven black and white photographs which adorn the volume for a total of eight signatures in ink. Featuring a coloured frontispiece 'An Impression' of Margaret Cooper designed by G. E. Shepheard.

Collated, complete. With its unclipped dust wrapper.

Seven leaves of publisher's advertisements to the rear.

In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, chipped to head and tail of spine, minor loss. Signed by the author to recto frontispiece and seven leaves of black and white photographic plates. Dust wrapper unclipped and smart with minor shelf wear, minor loss to head and tail of spine and front wrap, sunned to spine with few minor marks, staining mark to front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Slight offsetting to title page from frontispiece otherwise pages are bright and clean. Featuring a coloured frontispiece, seven leaves of black and white photographic plates, and four musical sheets. Collated, complete.
