The first edition of this work. Anglican priest William MacDonald Sinclair's work concerning the rich history and development of St. Paul's Cathedral. With illustrations by Louis Weirter. 

In prize binding from Mercers School, awarded to R. M. Chiswell in 1912.

Condition

Rebound in half straight up grain morocco binding over cloth covered boards with five raised bands, gilt tooling to spine, school blind stamp in gilt to front board, gilt to top edge. Mercers School prize bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Minor spotting to fore edge affecting first and last few leaves in particular, otherwise pages generally bright and clean. With illustrations both in text and in full page.
