1909 Memoranda from a Note Book on the Yorkshire Penny Bank
What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
Being the contents of the 1898 work of the same title and an additional three addresses given for the 1909 Jubilee of the bank. This work, by H.B Sellers, was issued because 'it became necessary, for legal purposes, to study somewhat closely the early history of the Bank, which led to a further record of 'Memoranda', and it seemed to me unwise that information which had cost much labour and research should be again laid out of sight and forgotten'. Illustrated, with photographs of the bank's premises and many notable figures in the bank, including its founder, Colonel Edward Akroyd. With folding tables listing employees.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with a small amount of bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Light rubbing to the joints. Spine has faded slightly. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with just the odd spots.
