The first edition of this work. This work looks at the gardens and flowers of the Netherlands, mostly focussing on the gardens at the Het Loo Palace, which is home to a Dutch Baroque garden. The work was written after Una Silberrad visited the Netherlands, inspiring her to write this work on horticulture. With a coloured frontispiece, and twenty-three coloured plates. Written by Sophie Lyall and Una Silberrad. Silberrad was a British novelist who wrote around forty novels. Her novels highlight the conservative middle-class virtues and priorities with female protagonists. Illustrated by Mima Nixon. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A little fading to the spine. Minor marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
