Ernest Petit's study into the dukes of Burgundy and the affluent Valois family of France, this volume focusing particularly on Philippe le Hardi from 1363 to 1380.
Philippe was the founder of the Burgundian branch of the House of Valios.
Tome I stated to the title page, however there is not evidence of the second volume being published according to institutional records on WorldCat.

Condition
In a full crushed morocco binding by the Atelier Bindery in New York. Externally, spine and head of the front board are a little faded. Minor rubbing to the spine. A few light marks to the boards. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
