First edition. Collated complete. Limited edition, number 150 of 200. Printed on handmade paper. Two volumes. Jacob Pleydell-Bouverie, 6th Earl of Radnor (1868 -1930) was the son of William Pleydell-Bouverie, 5th Earl of Radnor and Helen Matilda Chaplin. He married Julian Eleanor Adelaide Balfour, daughter of Charles Balfour, and had 10 children Helen Matilda Chaplin, who during the First World War conducted her own all-female orchestra and was said to wear her tiara backwards so that the audience could see it while she was on the rostrum. It was she who first catalogued the impressive art collection at Longford Castle and had it published in two large volumes.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart. Mild wear to the extremities. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. A little rubbing to the boards, and light fading to the spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
