Leather Binding, Prize Binding, Rebound

New impression. "Contributed to the Edinburgh Review". Bound in an institutional calf binding by Bickers and Son. With prize bookplate to the front pastedowns, from Epsom College. Thomas Babington Macaulay was a historian, essayist and reviewer. He was also a member of the Whig politician. Complete in two volumes.

Condition

Rebound in institutional calf bindings with gilt designs to the spines. Externally, both volumes are sound, with only some light rubbing and shelfwear. Prize bookplate to the front pastedown of both volumes and binder's stamps to the verso of the front free endpapers. Internally, both volumes are firmly bound and bright. Intermittently clean, with some scattered spotting.
